Discovery Mining Ltd. has received two federal permits for its Cordero Project in Chihuahua State, Mexico, from the Federal Environmental Department (SEMARNAT). The approvals are the environmental impact assessment (Manifesto de Impacto Ambiental, or MIA) and the Change of Land Use permit. They complete the federal environmental permitting process for the project.
Cordero is one of the world’s largest undeveloped silver deposits. The permits allow Discovery to advance development and construction plans and mark a significant de-risking step. The project is expected to create thousands of jobs and deliver significant economic benefits to the region.
