BlackRock Inc. disclosed a new $4.65 billion investment in Ford Motor Company in a second-quarter filing. The asset manager acquired approximately 334.5 million shares. This purchase grants BlackRock an 8.39% stake in the automaker.

Deutsche Bank AG also established a new position during the same period. The bank purchased more than 19.2 million shares for approximately $267.5 million. Mitsubishi UFJ Asset Management Co. Ltd. reported a new $132.57 million stake.

These institutional investments signal confidence in Ford's long-term business strategy. The automaker uses revenue from traditional trucks and sport-utility vehicles to fund its electric vehicle transition.
