FedEx agreed to sell its third-party logistics division, FedEx Supply Chain, to CMA CGM for $1.4 billion. The companies announced the deal on July 1, 2026. This sale allows FedEx to streamline operations and focus on core package and freight delivery.
The acquisition nearly triples the size of CMA CGM’s CEVA Logistics subsidiary in North America. The combined entity will manage over 240 locations across the region. This workforce will total approximately 20,000 employees.
Both companies plan to establish long-term commercial agreements for air and ocean freight. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval and should close in late 2026.
