Alphabet expanded its partnership with The AES Corporation to power a new data center campus in Wilbarger County, Texas. The agreement establishes 20-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) to support Google's operational growth and service demand.
AES will co-locate energy generation facilities directly with the new data center. Under the terms of the deal, AES secured the land and will build the necessary electricity infrastructure. AES will own and operate the generation assets.
This co-location model allows Google to expand operations rapidly while reducing the impact on the local power grid. The partnership underscores Google's aggressive investment in AI infrastructure, a primary focus for market analysts.
