Data center developer Crusoe paused plans for a massive AI campus in Wyoming. The company exited the project after failing to secure anchor customers including Google.

Discussions with Google stalled due to concerns over project costs and Crusoe’s construction timeline. Utility partner Black Hills Corp. confirmed it is moving forward with the data center development without Crusoe.

Google is now working to finalize an agreement with the remaining partners. The tech giant intends to purchase computing capacity from the site once it is completed.
