Google is contributing its Agent Payments Protocol (AP2) as the foundational technology for the initiative. Mastercard is providing its Verifiable Intent framework, which the company co-developed with Google.
Additional participants in the working groups include Amazon, Visa, OpenAI, and Okta. This industry-wide collaboration aims to ensure security within the growing sector of autonomous AI-driven commerce.
