Google laid the foundation stone for a $15 billion AI data center hub in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on April 28.

Senior executives attended the event to mark one of the largest single foreign direct investment projects in India.

Google’s subsidiary will manage the 600-acre site in partnership with Adani Infra.

The facility will provide a 1 gigawatt capacity to serve as a global destination for AI and cloud infrastructure.

The investment will create high-value jobs in data science and AI to strengthen the regional digital ecosystem.
