Google completed its $32 billion all-cash acquisition of cybersecurity firm Wiz. This transaction marks the largest acquisition in the history of the technology giant.
The deal finalized following unconditional clearance from the European Commission. Regulators determined the acquisition would not negatively impact market competition.
Google will integrate the Wiz platform to enhance its cloud division and security offerings. The acquisition allows Google to compete more effectively against Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. Wiz currently provides security services across all major cloud providers.
