Google Cloud and Liberty Global finalized a five-year strategic partnership. The agreement integrates Google's AI and cloud technologies across Liberty Global's European operations.
The collaboration utilizes Google’s Gemini AI models. These models will support new consumer services, including AI-powered search and discovery on the Horizon TV platform. They will also enhance customer service through automation.
The expanded partnership increases the availability of Google hardware, including Pixel phones, watches, and smart-home devices. These products will be distributed through Liberty Global's operating units.
Key units include Britain's Virgin Media O2 and Belgium's Telenet. Liberty Global serves approximately 80 million connections across Europe.
