Google has no immediate plans to integrate advertisements into its AI chatbot, Gemini.

Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google's DeepMind, made the statement during the World Economic Forum in Davos.

This clarification follows OpenAI’s recent announcement that it will begin testing ads in free ChatGPT versions. OpenAI seeks to offset the high costs of AI development with the ad model. Hassabis expressed surprise at the speed of OpenAI's move toward an ad-based model.

Google keeps its AI assistant ad-free for now. This positions Gemini differently in the competitive AI landscape. Google emphasizes user experience over immediate monetization through advertising in the core chat function.
