Google will break ground on a new data center project in Visakhapatnam, India, on April 28. Company executives and local government officials will attend the ceremony for the 1 GW capacity hub.

The $15 billion investment represents one of the largest single foreign direct investments in India. The project consists of three data center campuses.

This facility is expected to become the largest data center cluster in Asia. The project expands Google’s global infrastructure, which currently spans 11 countries.
