Google officially released Android 17 and Wear OS 7, initiating a rollout to Pixel devices. Other Android smartphones will receive the updates throughout 2026.
Android 17 introduces Bubbles, a multitasking feature that enables any app to function as a floating window. The software update also deepens integration with Google’s Gemini AI model.
Full Gemini Intelligence features will launch on select advanced devices later this summer. Wear OS 7 provides Live Updates for Pixel Watches and improves battery life.
