Google launched a beta version of its Gemini Spark AI agent for macOS. The application automates tasks by interacting directly with local files and desktop applications. Users can organize folders and generate spreadsheets from documents through the interface.
The release is limited to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the United States aged 18 or older. This update transitions Gemini from a chat interface to a tool for complex, multi-step workflows.
Future updates will allow users to assign tasks to their Mac remotely via smartphone. Google will integrate third-party applications including Dropbox, Canva, and Instacart in the coming weeks.
