Google has partnered with Function Health to bring lab test results into the Google Health app. Later this fall, U.S. users will be able to sync results from more than 160 lab tests and combine them with biometric data from Google Pixel Watch and Fitbit wearables.
The integration is designed to connect users’ daily habits with internal biological markers, giving them a broader view of their health. The combined data will also inform Google’s AI-powered Health Coach, enabling more tailored wellness guidance.
The partnership steps up Google’s competition with Apple, whose health platform has also expanded to include lab data. It is part of Google’s broader effort to build a digital health ecosystem spanning its devices and subscription software services.
