More than 450 tech workers from major companies including Google, Meta, Amazon, Apple, and Salesforce have signed a letter pressuring their CEOs to take action against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The letter was prompted by the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti by federal agents in Minneapolis.

The employees are demanding that their executives publicly condemn the agency, cancel all business contracts with ICE, and call on the White House to withdraw the agents from cities. This represents a significant instance of employee activism within an industry whose leaders have largely remained silent on the issue during the current administration.
