Honda will discontinue the Prologue electric SUV after the 2026 model year. This decision leaves the automaker with no fully electric vehicles in the U.S. market. The Prologue launched in 2024 using a platform co-developed with General Motors.
Honda cited shifting customer demand and market conditions for the move. The $7,500 federal tax credit for electric vehicles expires at the end of 2025.
Tesla, Hyundai, Kia, BMW, and Volvo will also discontinue models in 2026. Automakers are pulling back on electric offerings as consumer demand slows.
