Intel and 3D Glass Solutions (3DGS) signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Odisha to build a semiconductor substrate manufacturing plant. Located in the Bhubaneswar-Khurda region, the $3.3 billion facility is one of India's largest high-technology manufacturing projects.
The plant will produce glass core substrates for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. Intel will serve as the technology partner, providing process expertise and technical support.
Implementation will occur in phases over five to six years. The project is expected to create more than 1,800 direct skilled jobs.
