SystImmune and Bristol Myers Squibb announced Phase 1 data for iza-bren (izalontamab brengitecan) at the 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer. The study evaluated a dose-expansion cohort of patients with previously treated, EGFR-mutated metastatic non-small cell lung cancer.
The objective response rate reached 33.3% at the recommended dose. Median progression-free survival was 6.9 months in this heavily pre-treated population.
The companies selected a recommended dose for a global Phase 3 registrational study based on these results. Iza-bren is a potentially first-in-class EGFRxHER3 bispecific antibody-drug conjugate.
The findings provide the rationale for advancing into a pivotal Phase 3 trial for this difficult-to-treat patient population. No market reaction was available at the time of this report.
