Johnson & Johnson announced Phase 3 MonumenTAL-3 study results for its TALVEY (talquetamab-tgvs) and DARZALEX FASPRO combination. The trial evaluated the therapy in patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
The combination reduced the risk of disease progression or death by 72% compared to the standard of care. The study also showed a 53% reduction in the risk of death. After 24 months, the progression-free survival rate was 81.3% for the TALVEY combination. The standard regimen showed a 51.2% survival rate.
Presented at the 2026 European Hematology Association (EHA) Annual Meeting, these are the first Phase 3 results for a GPRC5D bispecific antibody combination in earlier treatment lines. The New England Journal of Medicine simultaneously published the data. The results support moving this combination therapy into earlier stages of myeloma treatment.
