JetBlue Airways, along with other major U.S. carriers including Southwest, Air Canada, Spirit, United, Delta, and American Airlines, is experiencing significant operational disruptions on October 14, 2025. A combination of severe weather and an ongoing U.S. government shutdown has led to the cancellation of 525 flights and delays for 4,855 flights across the country. Airports in major cities such as Nashville, New York, Seattle, Cincinnati, Boston, and Indianapolis are heavily affected. In response to the severe weather in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, JetBlue is waiving change and cancellation fees for customers traveling between October 12 and October 13, 2025, from numerous airports in the region, and allowing them to rebook for travel through October 21, 2025. The widespread disruptions are leaving thousands of passengers stranded and scrambling for alternative travel arrangements.
