JetBlue Airways canceled 423 flights on Sunday, February 22, 2026, due to Winter Storm Hernando impacting the U.S. East Coast. Total industry cancellations exceeded 2,700 flights on Sunday. Projections indicate more than 5,000 total flight cancellations will occur through Monday.
New York’s JFK Airport, a primary hub for JetBlue, remains the most affected facility. JetBlue issued a travel waiver for passengers scheduled to fly on February 22 and 23 to or from Northeast airports. Affected customers may rebook travel through Friday, February 27, 2026.
The airline is waiving all change fees, cancellation fees, and fare differences for eligible rebookings. Operational disruptions will likely persist with a high volume of cancellations anticipated for Monday.
