JetBlue Airways announced a significant ticket model revamp on July 27, 2026. The airline will introduce BlueFirst, its first traditional domestic first-class product, later in 2026. This cabin will feature on aircraft currently lacking the premium Mint business-class offering. The move aims to bridge the service gap between economy seating and lie-flat Mint suites.
JetBlue is simultaneously overhauling its entire fare system into four distinct experiences. Customers will choose between Main, EvenMore, BlueFirst, or Mint categories. Each experience offers three fare tiers: Base, Standard, and Flex. These tiers regulate flexibility, seat selection, and loyalty point accrual.
The airline will extend its restrictive Base fare option to BlueFirst and EvenMore cabins for the first time. This structure mirrors models used by legacy carriers such as Delta and United. The strategic shift preceded the airline's second-quarter earnings report. JetBlue intends to capture a broader market by offering more varied price points and premium services.
