A flight attendant filed a lawsuit against JetBlue Airways in North Carolina. The suit alleges the airline concealed health dangers linked to repeated “fume events.” These events occur when contaminated engine air enters the aircraft cabin.
The carrier allegedly downplayed risks for years. Furthermore, the suit claims JetBlue discouraged employees from reporting incidents and retaliated against those who raised safety concerns after experiencing symptoms like nausea and breathing trouble.
Separately, JetBlue announced a new interline agreement with regional carrier Contour Airlines. This partnership allows customers to book a single itinerary across both airlines. The agreement expands JetBlue's network access to smaller communities served by Contour.
