JD.com launched its Joybuy online marketplace in the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. This expansion positions the Chinese e-commerce firm to compete directly with Amazon across Europe.
The platform sells electronics, beauty products, groceries, and homeware from brands including Apple, Braun, and L'Oréal. Joybuy utilizes the JoyExpress logistics network to provide expedited shipping.
The service offers same-day delivery for orders placed before 11 a.m. in major cities. This logistics network covers more than 15 million households at launch.
