Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) and Glass Lewis recommend JPMorgan Chase & Co. investors vote to separate the CEO and Chairman roles. Both firms support a shareholder resolution calling for an independent chair.

The advisory firms argue the bank's size and complexity prevent one person from effectively leading both the company and the board. This recommendation opposes Jamie Dimon, who has held both leadership positions for 20 years.

Shareholders will vote on the proposal at the annual general meeting on May 19. ISS stated that an independent board leader would enhance corporate oversight and accountability.
