SoftBank Group secured a $40 billion bridge loan to fund further investment in OpenAI and general corporate purposes.
JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Mizuho Bank, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp arranged the financing.
The loan facility matures in March 2027.
The deal will increase SoftBank’s total investment in OpenAI to an estimated $64.6 billion.
SoftBank will hold an approximate 13% ownership stake upon completion.
