KKR & Co. closed its KKR North America Fund XIV at approximately $23 billion. This vehicle represents the largest private equity fund ever raised to focus exclusively on North America. Known as NAX4, the fund exceeded its initial target to pursue opportunistic investments across the region.
The successful fundraise comes amid a challenging environment for the private equity industry. Many firms currently face a significant slowdown and struggle to reach fundraising goals. KKR secured commitments from a diverse group of global investors, including public and private pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, and family offices.
