Eli Lilly announced positive results for two of its drugs at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes meeting.

An indirect analysis found that Zepbound doses of 10 mg and 15 mg were associated with greater weight loss than high-dose Wegovy in adults with obesity. The 15 mg Zepbound dose was linked to 4.5% more weight loss. It was also associated with a threefold higher likelihood of achieving at least 20% weight reduction compared with high-dose Wegovy.

In a separate analysis, Lilly’s oral drug Foundayo (orforglipron) at a 17.2 mg dose showed significantly greater weight loss and better blood sugar control than oral semaglutide 25 mg in adults with type 2 diabetes over 52 weeks.

The findings add comparative data for Lilly’s treatments in the diabetes and obesity markets.
