Hadrian raised $1.37 billion in a Series D funding round. The investment values the defense manufacturing startup at nearly $8 billion.
The company operates AI-powered, automated factories for the defense and aerospace sectors. These facilities produce critical components to resolve production bottlenecks for submarines and munitions.
JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s Strategic Investment Group and Baillie Gifford co-led the financing. Andreessen Horowitz and Founders Fund also participated in the round.
Hadrian will use the capital to expand manufacturing capacity for the Pentagon and Lockheed Martin. The company plans to triple its workforce to 2,000 employees.
