Lockheed Martin debuted the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Adapted Capability Effector (ACE) interceptor at the Farnborough International Airshow. The system provides air and missile defense against threats including cruise missiles and short-range ballistic missiles.
The PAC-3 ACE costs less than half of the current PAC-3 MSE model. This lower price point enables allied nations to procure a higher quantity of interceptors.
Lockheed Martin plans to collaborate with American and European partners on development and production. Initial production is expected to begin within 36 months.
