Lockheed Martin received a $53.86 billion contract modification from the U.S. Army for PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement interceptors. This agreement spans seven years. The deal brings the total multiyear contract value to approximately $58.62 billion.
The agreement aims to stabilize production and replenish U.S. missile inventories depleted by global conflicts. CEO Jim Taiclet identified this as the largest Patriot missile system contract to date. The deal is expected to push Lockheed Martin’s total backlog toward $300 billion.
The company plans to triple its PAC-3 missile production to meet sustained demand. This announcement follows a strong second-quarter earnings report released on July 23rd. Lockheed Martin beat market expectations and raised its full-year financial guidance.
