Australia approved a follow-on acquisition of Lockheed Martin’s High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) and Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM).
The deal carries a value of A$2.3 billion ($1.7 billion). This acquisition expands Australia's long-range, land-based strike capabilities. The order solidifies a major contract for Lockheed Martin’s missile division.
The U.S. Navy separately awarded Lockheed Martin a contract valued at nearly $100 million. The agreement covers the design, development, integration, and testing of a technology refresh for the MH-60R Seahawk helicopter. This refresh targets the radar data processor in the AN/APS-153 system. Lockheed Martin expects to complete the work by April 2031.
