Lockheed Martin signed an agreement with the Tawazun Council to build a microelectronics design and assembly facility in the UAE.
The project was announced at the Make it in the Emirates 2026 forum. EDGE Group and Khalifa University of Science and Technology will partner on the execution.
The facility focuses on advanced chiplet-based technologies. This initiative supports UAE manufacturing localization and its status as a global technology hub.
EDGE Group subsidiary HALCON will integrate the chiplet processors into targeting and guidance systems. The program strengthens UAE operational sovereignty and regional innovation leadership.
