The Australian Government named Lockheed Martin Australia as the preferred Combat System Integration Partner for its future Virginia class nuclear-powered submarines. This decision advances the AUKUS security pact between Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Lockheed Martin will partner with the Australian Submarine Agency to build a sovereign workforce and deliver integration capabilities. The project will initially create 100 jobs at Lockheed Martin Australia.

This agreement contributes to a national program expected to generate 20,000 jobs over the next 30 years. The partnership aims to strengthen national defense and regional stability.
