Mastercard partnered with Tencent MIDAS, Tencent's international payment solution, to enhance digital commerce for the global entertainment industry.

The collaboration integrates Mastercard's Click to Pay and advanced tokenization technologies. These features will be deployed across Tencent MIDAS’s overseas payment platforms.

The initiative replaces traditional card numbers and passwords with secure tokens and biometric authentication. This provides users worldwide with faster, more secure, and password-free payment options while reducing checkout friction.

This effort supports Mastercard’s broader strategic goal. The company aims to eliminate manual card entry across the Asia Pacific region by 2030.
