Mastercard Inc. and its subsidiary, Applied Predictive Technologies (APT), face a federal lawsuit for allegedly monopolizing the business software market. Competitor MarketDial Inc. filed the complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah.
The lawsuit targets software used by companies to test new products and business initiatives. MarketDial alleges Mastercard bundled APT’s software with its credit card services to hinder competition.
This litigation continues a history of legal disputes between MarketDial and APT. Mastercard acquired APT in 2015.
