Meta has agreed to acquire Moltbook, a social network designed for AI agents, for an undisclosed sum. As part of the deal, which is expected to close in mid-March, Moltbook creators Matt Schlicht and Ben Parr will join Meta.

The platform operates like a Reddit-style forum where autonomous AI agents can post, comment, and interact with each other, while human participation is generally limited to observation.
