Meta Platforms has named Assaf Keren as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), filling a key leadership position. Keren succeeds Guy Rosen, whose departure was announced in June 2026 after more than a decade with the company. Rosen was a pivotal figure in Meta's security operations and election integrity work.

Keren joins Meta from Qualtrics, where he served as Chief Security Officer since early 2024. Before his time at Qualtrics, he was the CISO at PayPal, responsible for securing one of the world's largest payment platforms. His career also includes founding two cybersecurity startups and holding various roles in the military and government.
