Meta Platforms has launched the Meta Enterprise Platform, a new division that will provide its AI technology to corporate clients. The company appointed MongoDB CEO Chirantan “CJ” Desai to lead the venture. Desai has experience in enterprise software from his time at ServiceNow and Oracle.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg called the platform the “next major pillar” of Meta’s business. It will offer the company’s AI models, agents such as Muse, and large-scale infrastructure to help businesses grow.
The move aims to build on the success of Meta’s consumer-facing AI agent, Muse, and create revenue streams beyond advertising.
Separately, Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest acquired more than 51,000 Meta shares, valued at approximately $38.2 million.
