Meta is preparing to release a new version of its Muse Spark artificial intelligence model. Chief AI Officer Alexandr Wang announced the update will be available soon.

The model features significant improvements in coding and agentic capabilities. These enhancements allow the AI to perform complex, multi-step tasks.

The move aims to close the competitive gap with rivals OpenAI and Anthropic.

Wang reportedly stated in an internal meeting that Meta's next-generation model, codenamed Watermelon, has matched OpenAI's GPT-5.5 on key performance benchmarks.
