LinkedIn is introducing a new way for professionals to showcase their proficiency with artificial intelligence tools directly on their profiles through verified certificates. The initiative launches with partnerships including AI-focused tech companies Descript, Lovable, Replit, and Relay.app.
Unlike self-reported skills, these new certificates are granted directly by the partner companies based on a user's actual usage and demonstrated proficiency within their platforms. This system is intended to provide employers with a more reliable signal of a candidate's practical AI capabilities as these skills become increasingly in-demand in the labor market. LinkedIn plans to expand the program with additional partners, including GitHub and Zapier, in the coming months.
