Microsoft Gaming CEO Asha Sharma confirmed the company’s next-generation gaming console is codenamed Project Helix. This new hardware will natively play both Xbox and PC games.
The announcement validates long-standing rumors regarding the strategic unification of Microsoft’s gaming platforms. Sharma revealed the project via her X account, stating that Project Helix will lead in performance.
This move integrates the Xbox and Windows ecosystems to expand the console's market appeal to PC gamers. Microsoft expects to share additional details at the upcoming Game Developers Conference (GDC).
