Microsoft launched Copilot Cowork, a new productivity tool developed in collaboration with AI firm Anthropic.

The offering integrates Anthropic’s Claude Cowork technology to execute complex, multi-step tasks like spreadsheet construction and research with minimal human supervision.

This move diversifies Microsoft’s AI model ecosystem, which previously relied primarily on OpenAI.

The service features Work IQ, an intelligence layer that grounds AI actions in internal organizational data such as emails, chats, and documents.

Work IQ enables the AI to analyze context and internal workflows within specific companies.

Copilot Cowork is currently in testing and will reach early-access users in late March.
