Microsoft signed an agreement to lease a data center in Norway to expand its cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure.

The facility will house 30,000 of NVIDIA’s next-generation Vera Rubin AI chips.

OpenAI originally planned to use the site but was unable to finalize its own agreement for the facility.

Microsoft previously committed to investing in the location before securing the capacity directly.

This move secures cutting-edge hardware resources amid intense global competition for AI infrastructure.
