Jeff Bezos’s secretive AI startup, Project Prometheus, hired xAI co-founder Kyle Kosic. Kosic recently left OpenAI to lead AI infrastructure projects at the new venture. He previously led the development of xAI’s Colossus supercomputer.
Bezos and former Google executive Vikram Bajaj lead the startup. The company currently employs hundreds of staff across San Francisco, London, and Zurich.
Project Prometheus develops industrial AI systems for sectors like jet engine design rather than chatbots. The venture is reportedly seeking tens of billions of dollars in funding.
