SpaceXAI, formerly xAI, and coding platform Cursor expect to release their first jointly developed artificial intelligence model as early as Wednesday. This launch marks the first major product integration since SpaceX acquired Cursor’s parent company, Anysphere. The all-stock acquisition carried a $60 billion valuation. SpaceX announced the deal in June 2026.

The new model features a custom architecture built from scratch. SpaceXAI trained the system on its Colossus supercomputer.

The model prioritizes high-speed information processing to compete with OpenAI’s GPT-5.5. It also aims to rival Anthropic’s Opus 4.8. The partnership combines SpaceXAI’s computing power with Cursor’s developer base to target the enterprise AI market.
