The awards success comes as Netflix is in the process of a major acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery's studio and streaming assets. The deal faces a competing hostile takeover bid for the entire Warner Bros. Discovery company from Paramount Skydance. However, Warner Bros. Discovery's board has rejected Paramount's offer, maintaining its support for the asset sale to Netflix.
