Netflix secured seven wins at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, underscoring its content strength. The streaming giant's limited series, "Adolescence," was a major winner, collecting four awards including best limited series and multiple acting honors. The company also won for best animated feature and best original song with "KPop Demon Hunters."

The awards success comes as Netflix is in the process of a major acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery's studio and streaming assets. The deal faces a competing hostile takeover bid for the entire Warner Bros. Discovery company from Paramount Skydance. However, Warner Bros. Discovery's board has rejected Paramount's offer, maintaining its support for the asset sale to Netflix.
