European wholesale natural gas prices declined on Friday. Shipping and satellite data confirmed multiple LNG tankers successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz. This movement eased market fears of a supply cutoff from major producers like Qatar following U.S.-Iran military exchanges.

The benchmark front-month Dutch TTF contract fell 2.3%. This decline reversed part of a 6% price spike triggered by tensions earlier this week. At least five LNG carriers, including QatarEnergy vessels, completed the passage.

The successful transits suggest Iran has not halted commercial shipping or caused a worst-case supply disruption. Robust European gas storage levels further cushioned the market against geopolitical volatility.
