Glenfarne Alaska LNG and ConocoPhillips Alaska signed a 30-year gas sales precedent agreement. This deal secures natural gas from Alaska’s North Slope for the project's initial phase.
The agreement provides sufficient gas volumes to support a final investment decision. This first phase focuses on meeting Alaska’s domestic energy requirements.
Glenfarne now holds agreements with all three major North Slope producers. This includes existing contracts with ExxonMobil and Hilcorp Alaska.
The first phase requires building a 739-mile pipeline to transport gas to local consumers. A potential second phase would introduce LNG export facilities to the project.
