The group, believed to be a rebrand of Hunters International, posted the claim on its darknet leak site on January 22. It threatened to publish stolen data within 48 hours.
The hackers have not provided any evidence of the breach. They have also not made a specific ransom demand. A Nike spokesperson stated the company takes consumer privacy and data security seriously and is currently assessing the situation.
